Bridging the Gaps in Our Fragmented Healthcare System

We’ve been there. With 10-minute appointment slots, patient-charting that spills into your evening hours at home, numerous phone calls and coordination with multiple specialists (with different EMR systems) for any given patient -- it’s no wonder there is an epidemic of physician burnout. At Summit Healthcare Advocates, we’re here to help by:

Making patient visits more efficient – Every minute of your time is valuable. We help patients prepare for their appointment in advance by maintaining an accurate symptom log, updating medication list, and preparing pertinent questions. With our assistance, your patient will be ready with the information you need to make the most of their visit from the moment you walk through the door.

Reinforcing treatment plans and improving patient compliance — We offer your patient the additional “face time” they may need, reviewing and discussing your explanations and providing educational resources to reinforce understanding and follow-through with your recommendation. We can provide close monitoring of your complex patients and ‘solo seniors’ outside of the office.

Reducing patient phone calls to the office —When accompanying your patient to an office visit, we’ll ensure they’re prepared to ask questions during the visit and debrief post-visit to make sure all questions are answered, thus reducing follow-up phone calls at a later time.

Sharing data during office appointments—We’ll make sure you have test results, outcomes and recommendations from other consulting physicians, saving you and your staff the time and inconvenience of having to track them down and get back to the patient at a later time.

Dr. Vandenbosch, a retired family physician, has experienced your frustrations. As a patient advocate, her goal is to help clients become more informed, proactive and compliant patients, and help providers do their best work in the process.
